Inside Line Promotions – ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Sept. 20, 2018) – Anthony Miller and the Orion Motorsports team will return to action this Saturday at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, N.C.
“It’s good to be back behind the wheel this weekend,” Miller said. “We’ve had a little bit of a break in the season, but we are looking forward to being back at the race track and hopefully contending for a win.”
Miller raced at Hickory Motor Speedway early on in his late model career, but he hasn’t made laps around the track in a few years.
“I’m excited to get to race at Hickory again,” he said. “It’s been a while so it will be up to me to be able to pick the racing groove up quickly and be able to adapt throughout the weekend. We will rely on practice a lot to get a feel for the car and what it’s like to race on new tires.”
The South East Limited Late Model Series feature will consist of 75 laps around the 3/8-mile paved oval. New tires for the limited late model teams will also be implemented.
“Racing on new tires will play a big factor throughout the night,” Miller said. “I haven’t had a lot of seat time with racing on new tires. We have either raced on old tires or only had two new tires, so it will be critical to learn the racing groove and how that affects tire wear throughout practice so we can set up for a good qualifying run and for 75 laps.”
