Inside Line Promotions – ASHEVILLE, N.C. (March 15, 2018) – Anthony Miller is looking forward to returning to Greenville-Pickens Speedway this Saturday to contend for back-to-back seasons with a victory at the half-mile paved oval.
Miller pulled off a limited late model triumph at the oval during the early portion of the 2017 season, which propelled him and the Orion Motorsports team to the South East Limited Late Model Series championship.
“We’re really excited to get back to Greenville this weekend and to run there a few times this year,” Miller said. “We know we have what it takes to contend for a win there. We have proven that before. We just have to qualify well and prepare for a short 50-lap feature.”
Miller made the trip to the track a couple of weeks ago for a test day in preparation for this weekend.
“Our practice day went well and we made some gains,” he said. “This is our first year running on new tires. We ran new tires at Myrtle Beach and that was going well before a racing incident. And the test session with new tires went well, too, so I think we’re prepared for the weekend.”
Miller will also have a teammate to work with on and off the track this season.
“It’ll be cool to have somebody to work with this season,” he said. “He’s just getting started in a late model so he will be learning a lot, but it will be nice to have another person to get notes off of and try different setups with at different tracks. I think we will be a force to be reckoned with.”
