Inside Line Promotions – ASHEVILLE, N.C. (March 13, 2017) – Anthony Miller kicked off the year by capturing a season-opening win at Greenville-Pickens Speedway with the Southeast Limited Late Model Series last month.

The action began on Feb. 17 at the pavement track in Easley, S.C., with a full day of practice. Unfortunately, Miller and the Orion Motorsports team struggled with engine issues throughout the duration of the day.

“I’d like to give a big thanks to Mack Little Jr. for helping us diagnose and fix our motor problems,” he said.

The help worked the ensuing day as Miller ended the final practice at the upper portion of the leaderboard, timing second fastest of the group. He qualified third for what was slated to be a 50-lap feature. However, because of rain and a long delay, the main event was shortened to 35 laps.

“At the drop of the green flag the car in front of me didn’t get a good start so we got behind early,” Miller said. “We were finally able to make a pass for second and start chasing down the leader.”

Ultimately, Miller made the pass for the lead around Lap 20 and he went on to capture the win.

The season-opening triumph propels Miller into his return to Greenville-Pickens Speedway with the Southeast Limited Late Model Series this weekend in search of two straight wins.

“We’re really looking forward to getting back to Greenville-Pickens, especially after a win,” he said. “We’ve had a lot of success at Greenville and my crew really has the car working good there so we’re definitely hoping to repeat this weekend.”

Miller is slated for a full season of competition with the Southeast Limited Late Model Series in 2017.
